Isabella Rose Hackerman is an artist living in Pomona, California. She received her Masters in Fine Arts in 2022 from Claremont Graduate University, and her Bachelors Degree from Cal Poly Pomona. Isabella primarily works with clay to create ceramic sculptures, but she also works in other media to create conceptual installations. Her work is influenced by exploring and sometimes challenging gender norms, studying the purpose and importance of erotic art, and appreciating the human body. Many of her pieces carry themes of female sensuality and sexuality. Her post graduate work has shifted to focus on the study of the brain, specifically neuroplasticity, with an emphasis on exploring the brains ability to heal from trauma. Isabella has also worked as an adjunct professor at Santa Monica College, Long Beach City College, and Chaffey College. Additionally Isabella teaches at local ceramics studios including the American Museum of Ceramic Art, Green & Bisque Clayhouse, and POT LA.
