Mug Making Workshop at GoodTime Cafe December 15th 2pm- 4pm
Join me at GoodTime cafe for our Mug Making Workshop, December 15th, 2024 2pm- 4pm! This 2 hour workshop teaches you how to make a mug with clay and it incorporates the “pinch pot” technique. This is completely beginner friendly You will be provided with enough clay to build one 8oz mug, or two 3oz espresso cups. We will use “Speckled Buff” clay and a white glaze for a beautiful neutral finish. Your piece is food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe (though I do recommend washing by hand).
All materials and supplies are provided. I recommend bringing your own apron if you don’t want to get too messy, however our clay will not stain your clothing.
GoodTime is a great coffee shop located at 1322 Coronado Ave in Long Beach. They serve specialty coffee, natural wines and local beers in a chill, plant-filled setting. Our workshop will take place at this amazing location. This event will be outdoors, so I recommend wearing clothes that are warm and cozy.

A little bit of information about the ceramics process:your piece needs time to dry, then it is placed in a kiln to become solidified. After your piece comes out of the kiln, I apply a food safe glaze, then put it back in the kiln for a second time. This process is the epitome of delayed gratification, but very much worth the wait. You will receive your piece within 3- 4 weeks after the date of the workshop, but please reach out to me if you have not received your piece within that time frame.
